Friends and Comrades- With only a few weeks left in 2023, there's a few ways we can keep showing up for the working class, from Gaza to right here in northern NM. Please take note of a number of important actions this week, as well as impending work on bodily autonomy and our year-end potluck!

Join DSA comrades from New Mexico and across the country to target Senators Lujan and Heinrich to demand a ceasefire in Gaza now and no further funding for the Israeli military.

Additionally, New Mexicans for Justice in Palestine are having weekly noon rallies at the corner of Paseo de Peralta and Old Santa Fe Trail.

The situation at Las Lomas apartments in Espanola, and our comrade Dylan, were featured in an article in the New Mexican yesterday. His hearing is finally happening this Thursday. Please show up online if you can to support tenant organizing and stand against abusive landlord!

Typically, our chapter has a year-end potluck in lieu of a General Business Meeting. The potluck is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 30th at Earthcare at 2pm to celebrate our year of hard work and solidarity. Please bring whatever food or drink you are able to for sharing and honoring each other!

At our November General Meeting, the chapter approved the creation of a Socialists in Office Committee. This committee will meet with local Socialists in elected office to get updates from them on what's happening in their elected body and to give feedback to the Socialists what our chapter priorities are. This committee will be appointed by chapter leadership. If you are interested in being a part of this committee, fill out the Google Form at this link.

We're continuing the reading group this weekend for Ralph Miliband's Marxism and Politics. We'll be reading Chapter 5 (Class and Party). Our reading group meets at 10 AM Saturday, at Ohori's Coffee at 505 Cerillos Rd.
