We only send this type of email once a year. But it’s one of the most important we’ll send.

Because the work we do in the Positive Money movement - running campaigns that cut through, like our campaign for a windfall tax on bank profits that got debated in the Houses of Parliament last week, and groundbreaking research like our Banking on Property report - is powered by people like you.

We’re making progress together, (see below!)  But some of our regular donors have had to stop chipping in because of the cost of living crisis. So we’re writing to ask if you can step in. Please will you chip in a few pounds every month so together we can scale up our campaigns in 2024? It takes just two minutes.

We’re a movement of people who believe in creating a fair economy that works for everyone. In creating a system that empowers communities, wins more affordable homes and brighter futures.

John, here’s just a smattering of the things we achieved together in 2023, thanks to our funders and supporters:

• Deliberative democracy winning fairer results. Councillors in Cheshire East accepted 10 out of 12 recommendations from our People’s Panel on the Cost of Living. [1]

• Media hits left, right, and centre. Across the BBC, Sky, and LBC, we’ve been getting Positive Money onto airwaves and newsreels all year. [2]

• Educating hundreds of thousands on “fossilflation” and “climateflation”. Our two videos explaining these concepts blew up on social media. [3]

• Showing up at the Bank of England’s door. Our actions outside the Bank got loads of coverage and thousands of us answered their digital pound consultation. [4]

With your help, next year we could do even more. And with a general election on the cards, there’s loads to play for...
