John, before I ask you to chip in toward Emily Busch's people-first campaign for Congress, I wanted to give a quick introduction – 

It's Ben, Emily's Finance Director, and a huge part of my job is making sure we're on track to meet our fundraising goals. 

But I want to be as honest as possible, John: the end of 2023 is in just under two weeks, and we still have a long way to go before we can meet our goal. 

This is a big deal. See, our team is relying on a strong base of grassroots support to continue: 

1️⃣ Meeting voters from across the district in-person 

2️⃣ Sharing who Emily is and her priorities for the future, including gun violence prevention 

3️⃣ Stocking up on essential campaign materials – things like yard signs, mailers, and supplies for our canvassers 

Here's the bottom line, John: these are all important elements to getting Emily's message out to folks who need it most. 

But we absolutely can't do this alone. With only 13 days until the end of the year, we're reaching out to Emily's friends and neighbors for a $13 donation. What do you say, John? Can you spare $13 for a Democrat running to flip this seat blue and keep our families safe?
