Save the Children Action Network is the political voice for kids.
John —
In just two years, child poverty has DOUBLED in the U.S. As you read this message, millions of low-income families are struggling to afford food, rent and other essentials.
That’s why we’re fighting to expand the Child Tax Credit (CTC).
We’ve already seen this relief change lives — it cut child poverty in HALF in 2021! Now, we need Congress to make it permanent.
Please, send a quick message: Permanently expand the CTC to protect kids across the nation! [[link removed]]

Hi John, Congress is talking about the Child Tax Credit (CTC) again. Here’s a quick refresher on what it means for kids:
*
In
2021,
the
U.S.
temporarily
expanded
the
CTC
to
support
low-income
families
*
The
increased
tax
benefits
cut
child
poverty
in
HALF
,
helping
millions
afford
food,
rent
and
other
essentials
*
But
they
expired
a
year
later

and
all
that
progress
was
lost
Now, low-income families are struggling to get by again. Will you fight to make this life-changing relief permanent for parents across the nation? [[link removed]]
In just a single year, the expanded CTC dramatically improved kids’ quality of life. Nutrition and education were more accessible, and social and emotional wellbeing skyrocketed.
It even resulted in the lowest levels of rural child poverty in American history!
Yet 19 million children are excluded from the full CTC today because their parents’ incomes are too low, which means they face greater risks of food insecurity, homelessness and learning loss.
John, child poverty is a policy choice — and we know the expanded CTC works. Tell Congress to make it permanent so countless kids survive and thrive. [[link removed]]
Thanks for being a voice for kids,
