Dear John

I’m Mark. You probably haven’t had an email from me before. 2023 had many highlights thanks to the generosity of loyal supporters like you and it’s clear that when we stand together, we can achieve so much.

However, as we approach our year end, we've only raised half of the fundraising
income we need. I know many of you support CPRE as members, and with your time and your voice.
Yet it has been a really tough year and as a small charity, I hope you’ll
understand that we also need donations to continue our vital work.

As Christmas approaches, you will undoubtedly receive other charity requests,
but this year, could I ask you to give to CPRE too?

Yes, I'll donate
[[link removed]]2024 is set to be a monumental year as we head towards a General Election. We
need to ensure the countryside, communities, climate and nature are at the heart
of the new government’s priorities. We need to secure urgent commitments for:

- A planning system for people, planet and nature
- More genuinely affordable housing for rural communities
- Protecting, extending and enhancing Green Belt land
- A rooftop revolution – with solar panels as standard on buildings and car
parks

John, I know that bills are set to increase further in
2024 but if everyone that reads this email gives what they can, it could really
set us up for the challenging year ahead. Together, we can make change happen and enhance and protect the countryside for
future generations.

With my very best wishes for Christmas and 2024.

Mark Cornish
