Hunger Free America operates the National Hunger Hotline on behalf of the USDA. Our Hunger Hotline team works tirelessly to ensure people are connected to the resources and services they need. In 2022, we assisted more than 29,000 callers from all 50 states and U.S. territories.

|
Callers come to us in crisis, often on the verge of tears. They’ve exhausted all their resources, and their need is critical. The stigma in this country against receiving any kind of help is so strong, people are often hungry for days, weeks, months before connecting with our team. Our team is fighting that stigma. We welcome callers with kindness and warmth, and provide everyone we serve with a safe and dignified experience.
