** New Endorsements from Reproductive Freedom for All, Vallejo Leaders, and Woodland Democrats!

Friends -

What a week it has been for our campaign! Major endorsements have poured in from throughout our region, and I could not be more excited where we are as we head into the next phase of this race.

Following last week’s announcement that Planned Parenthood Northern California Action Fund has endorsed our campaign, this week, Reproductive Freedom for All California (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America), also announced that I am the only candidate they are supporting in this race!

I could not be prouder to have the support of two of the most important advocates for reproductive health care. And if that were the only announcement, I had to make this week, we would be in great shape. But…

It is also my honor to report the Woodland Democratic Club and a diverse group of Vallejo’s public officials, civic, and business leaders have joined Team Cabaldon as well!

Outside of the endorsement front, I have been busy Chris-crossing this district, having meaningful conversations with thousands of neighbors throughout the region. I’m excited to share a few updates from the campaign trail below!

** Reproductive Freedom for All California Joins Team Cabaldon

I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of Reproductive Freedom for All California, on the heels of earning the Planned Parenthood Northern California Action Fund endorsement last week. The terrifying Kate Cox case in Texas continues to highlight the insanity of the unprecedented assault on reproductive health care nationwide. In the State Senate, I will fight to protect access to clinics, protect patient privacy, and ensure medical professionals are free from criminalization and intimidation. Together, we will tirelessly work to ensure that reproductive freedom is not just a constitutional right, but an accessible reality for all.

** Vallejo Leaders Endorse Our Campaign!

This week, our campaign announced that a group of public officials, education leaders, civic champions, and business owners in Vallejo have thrown their full support behind our campaign:
* Vallejo Mayor Terry Curtola (Ret.)
* Vallejo Vice-Mayor Hermie Sunga (Ret.)
* Vallejo City Councilmember Cristina Arriola
* Vallejo Unified School District Vice President John Fox
* Vallejo Pista Sa Nayon Cultural Committee Chair Eloise Escano Scott
* Asian Pacific Islander AmericanPublic Affairs Association Solano Chapter President Gregoria Torres
* Vallejo Business leader and philanthropist Buck Kamphausen

These leaders don’t always agree on everything, but they know that Vallejo needs a champion in the Capitol who has learned through experience how to wrestle a much greater share of state grants, appropriations, and investments, and how to fix formulas that are weighted by design to divert needed resources for parks, schools, dredging, transportation, health, and so many other needs toward Los Angeles and other parts of the Bay Area.

I’ve spent 20 years fighting—and winning—for underdog communities, and I am excited to fight for Vallejo, Solano, and the diverse places of people of this district.


** Woodland Dems Join Team Cabaldon!

This week, the Woodland Democratic Club became the latest local Dem club to endorse our campaign! To date, we have swept every single local Democratic club that has made an endorsement in this race. 🧹🧹

This one means a lot, because Woodland’s Democrats know me especially well from our successes together implementing access-to-jobs public transit expansions, adding critical roads, bike lanes, and rural infrastructure, improving health care access and quality, winning federal funds for flood protection, and protecting agriculture and working landscapes.

These are the activists and community leaders who are the heart and soul of our party, and the boots on the ground in our fight to build a more equitable, inclusive, and just society. Their overwhelming support has been incredibly humbling.


** Holiday Celebrations with Congressman Mike Thompson!

Congressman Mike Thompson’s Holiday celebration at The Culinary Institute of America ([link removed]) in St. Helena has become a beloved tradition, and this year was no exception. I am so grateful to share ideas and fellowship with incredible community leaders and elected officials who made the night even more special.


** Davis Democrats Holiday Fundraiser!
------------------------------------------------------------

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the holiday fundraiser for the Davis College Democrats and the Davis Democratic Club! I spoke with attendees about our shared vision for high-quality education for Californians of every age. I know we can do it, because we already did it in West Sacramento. In my time as mayor, we introduced universal pre-K and college savings accounts for every kindergartner, a first for small cities in California. I look forward to using our West Sacramento program as a model to increase access to quality education and career pathways for students throughout our region and the state.
