National Day of Prayer, Bill Alerts, & Legislative Update.
With the increasing risk of coronavirus across the nation, including here in the Gem State, President Trump has declared today (March 15th) a day of prayer for those affected by CONVID-19 here in the United States and across the world. At the Madison Liberty Institute, we appreciate the concern and direction of President Trump.
We invite you to participate and, as you do, please include our elected officials and leaders (local, state, and national) in your prayers. Due to the threat of the virus, and its confirmed arrival in Boise, the state legislature is preparing to end this year's legislative session early. Unfortunately, there are still many good bills awaiting a vote in the Idaho State Legislature, including the Idaho Vital Statistics Act (H0509), the Safe Schools Database Bill (H0522), Simon's Law (H0578), Criminal Abortion (S1385), and others that may not be voted on. Many of these bills are important to the safety of our families and every Idahoan. Please pray that legislative leaders will prioritize and finish this important business before adjourning for the session.
With that in mind, we urge you to contact your legislators to request they take action on any legislation that is of importance to you before the premature end of the 2020 Legislative Session.
