Picture this: towering smokestacks releasing dark clouds into the air. A web of
metal pipes snaking over the ground around a massive toxic facility. When the
wind blows right, you can smell the pollution sweeping into your community.

Would you want a natural gas plant next to where you live? How would you feel if
you found out a foreign government was funding a polluting natural gas plant in your community?

That’s exactly what the U.S. might do in Guyana, Friend.
Only we’re not just funding a power plant. It’s a whole fossil fuel complex –
including a natural gas separation facility, power plant, and reckless offshore
pipeline.

This project undermines climate goals and threatens toxic pollution for the Guyanese people. Yet, we’ve heard Vice President Harris is pushing for
this fossil fuel disaster. Please, Friend, take just 30 seconds to urge Vice
President Harris to OPPOSE U.S. support for fossil fuel pollution in Guyana!

[[link removed]]This natural gas plant is completely unnecessary. In fact, installing solar
panels on roofs in Guyana would cost less, generate local jobs, and meet the energy needs of Guyanese
communities – all without the pollution that will damage people’s health and destroy our
climate.

Instead, our funds are poised to support this disastrous fossil fuel project
that will make companies like ExxonMobil even richer while communities suffer. And while the Guyanese people will feel the most direct impacts, the emissions
this plant causes will have global consequences – climate-fueled fires, floods, droughts, and storms will intensify.

The U.S. has pledged not to support new fossil fuel projects like this one. Without your help, we could violate our own commitment! We need 219 more messages from your area by 11:59pm TONIGHT
to hit our goal and help STOP the natural gas plant in Guyana! Add your name
