Celebrating the Power of the OAC Community

Here at the OAC, we believe in the power of individuals to drive change. When you support our cause, you become a part of something bigger – a powerful force working to create a world where everyone can access the care, understanding, and support they need.

This Giving Season, we ask you to join us in unleashing 'The Power of Change, the Power of You.' Your support is an investment in the changing of lives, the reshaping of health policies and the empowerment of countless individuals. Plus, the Obesity Action Coalition National Board of Directors is challenging the OAC Community to donate to support the OAC. They have committed to matching donations, dollar-for-dollar, throughout the season.

Together, we can make a profound impact on the lives of millions of people affected by obesity and work towards a healthier world for all.

Give today.

National Poll on Healthy Aging Shows Most Older Adults Think Medicare Should Cover Anti-obesity Medications

According to new results from the University of Michigan National Poll on Healthy Aging, most older adults (about 83%) believe that health insurance should cover medications that help people manage their weight. Additionally, 76% of those surveyed think that Medicare, which currently does not cover anti-obesity medications, should include them.

These new insights demonstrate the importance of passing the Treat and Reduce Obesity Act (TROA), a bill that will give Medicare-eligible Americans greater access to obesity healthcare services, treatments and providers.

Take action now to help push TROA over the finish line.
