Friend,

It’s hard to imagine anything so heartless.

Animals used for testing spend their lives alone in steel cages. They’re taken out only to have chemicals forced down their throats or smeared onto or injected under their skin to test for safety or efficacy for human use—an outdated and ineffective practice. And then, when these animals’ bodies can no longer endure any more suffering, the animals either die during testing or are killed at the end.

That is the torturous life and death of animals used in experiments for new products, drugs, and devices. It’s cruel, it’s archaic, and should be a thing of the past. But we need every supporter standing with us to protect animals from inhumane experiments. Please give $20 now to stop this heartless cruelty and end animal abuse of all kinds. ([link removed])

The Humane Society Legislative Fund is fighting on several fronts to end testing on animals. With your help, we have been pressuring the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to stop relying on outdated animal testing and instead commit to and prioritize a shift towards more accurate non-animal test methods. Advancing the development and promoting the use of alternative methods can help companies bring safer products to consumers faster and immediately reduce the use of animals in testing.

We’re also advocating in Congress for the Humane Cosmetics Act, which would prohibit animal testing for cosmetics manufactured or sold in the U.S.

With your gift, we can continue pushing for the end of suffering for hundreds of thousands of animals in labs, and all vulnerable animals, right now. ([link removed])
