FORMER U.K. AMBASSADOR TO YEMEN EDMUND FITTON-BROWN JOINS COUNTER EXTREMISM
PROJECT AS SENIOR ADVISOR

(New York, N.Y. / London, U.K.) – The Counter Extremism Project (CEP) is
pleased to announce the appointment of former U.K. diplomat Edmund Fitton-Brown
as Senior Advisor for the Counter Extremism Project. In this pivotal role,
Ambassador Fitton-Brown will bring his extensive diplomatic expertise to
enhance CEP's efforts in countering extremism and promoting global security.

With a distinguished career spanning 38 years in international relations,
Ambassador Fitton-Brown brings a wealth of experience and insight to his new
role. He has previously served in various leading positions in this space,
including as U.K. Ambassador to Yemen and as Coordinator of the UN Sanctions
Monitoring Team for ISIL, Al-Qaida, and the Taliban.

In his capacity as Senior Advisor for the Counter Extremism Project, Mr.
Fitton-Brown will provide strategic counsel and contribute to the development
of comprehensive initiatives aimed at preventing and countering extremism and
terrorism worldwide. His decades worth of diplomatic experience and insights
into global dynamics will help play a major role in shaping CEP's approach to
countering the evolving threats posed by extremist ideologies.

In light of the horrific events of October 7, Ambassador Fitton-Brown will –
among many other priorities – be turning his early focus to the Qatari sponsors
of Hamas and their extensive holdings in Western capital cities including
London.

CEP's CEO Mark Wallace stated:

"We are honored to welcome Ambassador Fitton-Brown to CEP. His remarkable
diplomatic career and deep understanding of terrorist organizations make him an
invaluable addition to our team. As we continue our mission to address the root
causes of extremism, Ambassador Fitton-Brown's guidance will be instrumental."

Ambassador Fitton-Brown commented on his new role, saying:

"I am thrilled to join CEP and contribute to the important work of countering
extremism. The global extremist landscape is rapidly evolving, and it is
imperative that we adapt our strategies to address emerging challenges. I look
forward to collaborating with the talented team at CEP to advance our shared
goals of better understanding terrorist organizations and promoting
international security.”
