Temperatures are dropping in crisis zones like Gaza, Ukraine and Afghanistan where thousands of children and families are without adequate shelter and heat.

**Gaza: With winter approaching, heavy rainfall and muddy streets make foot travel challenging and raising the risk of illness and waterborne diseases. Children and families in damaged buildings without heat or blankets face a harsh struggle to survive the weather.

**Ukraine: Experts are warning that Ukraine's winter will be the coldest yet since the current conflict escalated.

**Afghanistan: Recent earthquakes have exacerbated the situation of already vulnerable communities, and the upcoming harsh winter weather means disaster for some families.
