I’m reaching out today on behalf of my good friend and colleague Tammy Baldwin, who needs our support as she heads into her most competitive and expensive reelection battle yet.

And the stakes of her race are even higher now that our colleague, West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin, announced he won’t be seeking re-election — freeing up millions of dollars that Republican groups can now spend on defeating Tammy.

I’m no stranger to a tough battle myself. Last year, the GOP gave it their all to try to unseat me. My far-right opponent had the full backing of Mitch McConnell and National Republicans, who were determined to flip Arizona red and take the Senate.

But it was grassroots supporters, including members of this very team, who helped to defend my seat and our Democratic majority.
