We've sent a number of emails your way lately, so we thought it was important to share what these messages mean to Elissa's campaign for Senate in Michigan.

As you know, this is a grassroots-funded campaign. But what you may not know is that a very large number of contributions made to our campaign come from emails like this one – and a full 92% of all contributions to our campaign are under $100. To be exact, the average donation made via email is $36.76.

$36.76.

That number represents the building blocks of our campaign. While other campaigns are relying on personal fortunes, corporate PACs, and megadonors like Betsy DeVos to fund their campaigns, we’re counting on a whole bunch of people chipping in $36.76 or whatever they can to get us over the finish line.

So when you see our campaign rising in the polls, hiring staff across the state of Michigan, and going up on TV, it is the response to emails like this that make it all possible. All of it. And it’s why we (sorry!) email so often.

Our very important FEC fundraising deadline is less than two weeks away and we are counting on a lot of $36.76 donations today in order to stay on track to reach our goals. So we’re asking: Are you in? Every donation will help defend this seat and protect the Democratic Senate majority.
