Hey John,

“I have not failed. I have just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

So said Thomas Edison in response to a question about all the missteps in his long career as an inventor. He has much to teach our current generation of politicians and candidates! We see this often in the clumsy, murky way politicians talk about abortion and the necessity of protecting LIFE. It can sometimes seem like there isn’t a good way to talk about this crucial issue.

But that couldn’t be further from the truth. The reality is that many of these candidates are just demonstrating 10,000 ways that won’t work.

But there IS a way that works. There is a compelling case to be made for reasonable, commonsense pro-life positions that will find an audience with middle-of-the-road voters. In fact, we know there are

many

ways of articulating pro-life beliefs that are compelling to Minnesotans.

And we intend to share these ways with Minnesotans so that we can WIN on this issue.

That’s our top priority as we come to the end of 2023 and look ahead to a pivotal 2024 in which we will prepare for an opportunity to take back the Minnesota House!

Our success in this endeavor largely depends on your support. Without sufficient funding, we won’t be able to execute our plan.

So I want to invite you to read on as I take you inside our strategy,

and then

prayerfully consider making a generous year-end

gift

of

$50, $100, $200 or even more, as the Lord leads.

Thomas Edison’s incandescent light bulb changed the way we live and work for good. His invention literally brought light into dark places.

We have a similar mission. As Christians first, we bring the light of the gospel into the darkest places of our culture. We aim to change the way we live, relate to one another, care for and protect our children, and exercise the freedoms guaranteed to us in our Constitution.

And, like Edison, Christians and conservatives have found many ways of going about this that

don’t

work.

We learn, adapt and move on.

That’s precisely what we must do now, at this moment in history for the pro-life movement.

Conservative candidates have to share a compelling message that will reach middle-of-the-road Minnesotans who don’t vote exclusively along party lines, but rely on emotion and gut instinct as much as on policy positions – a message that is courageous, faithful, and, especially at this fraught moment, shrewd.

That’s exactly why we’re embarking on the most significant pro-life, pro-family messaging project we’ve ever launched in Minnesota.

Step one

is convening focus groups made up of swing voters to find where Minnesotans stand on life and gender issues, and see what policies resonate with them.

Step two

is taking what we’ve learned and testing it by intensively polling Minnesotans in the parts of the state that we know will decide the next election.

Step three

is sharing those results far and wide with legislators, candidates, ministry and policy allies, and people like you who are engaged in these conversations with your friends, family members and neighbors.

I know that's a lot! But as we talk with Minnesotans about this project,

 they are inspired

. If you are inspired too,

will you consider making a generous year-end gift of $50, $100, $200 or even more, as the Lord leads?

We know that there’s a silent majority in Minnesota that hates the way radicals have victimized women and children through abortion and gender legislation.

They do not support the extremist abortion agenda that was front-and-center this year in St. Paul, but are in favor of common-sense restrictions. They don’t want biological males on girls’ sports teams and in their locker rooms, and they oppose gender transition surgery on minors.

Our mission is to teach them how to speak up in a way that is wise, sensible,

and

persuasive

with voters.

If you believe in this approach as much as we do, please consider a year-end gift of $50, $100, $200, or even more, as the Lord leads, to support these efforts. We need immediate funding not only to do the research, but also to disseminate the results to both candidates and voters.

The time is right. The time is now … to reclaim the narrative. We know what doesn’t work. Let’s employ what

does

work … what will keep the light in Minnesota burning for generations! Thank you and God bless!
