ONE DOWN, TWO TO GO – Elise Keeps the Pressure on University Presidents

Last week, Chairwoman Elise Stefanik exposed the moral depravity facing our
“elite institutions” when University Presidents of Harvard, MIT, and Penn
refused to acknowledge whether“calling for the genocide of Jews” qualifies as
bullying and harassment according to their codes of conduct. These Presidents
went so far as to say it needs to turn to “action” first, meaning actual
genocide.

Since the hearing, the world has watched in disbelief as these university
presidents have attempted to walk back their pathetic testimonies. Here’s what
has happened as a result:

* Elise and the Education Committee announced a formal Congressional
Investigation into these three schools.

* The University of Pennsylvania announced that President Liz Magill and
Chairman of the Board of Trustees Scott Bok would resign.
* Elise stated – “This is only the very beginning of addressing the pervasive
rot of antisemitism that has destroyed the most "prestigious" higher education
institutions in America. This forced resignation of the president of Penn is
the bare minimum of what is required. These universities can anticipate a
robust and comprehensive Congressional investigation of all facets of their
institutions negligent perpetration of antisemitism including administrative,
faculty, funding, and overall leadership and governance.”

.

* A bipartisan majority of the House led by Chairwoman Elise Stefanik
formally condemned the Presidents of Harvard, MIT, and UPenn for their
pathetic, abhorrent, and morally reprehensible testimony last week.
* Elise stated – “The passage of my resolution marks a historic bipartisan
effort to stand for moral truth. The world is watching as Members from both
sides of the aisle stand resolutely with the Jewish people to condemn
antisemitism on university campuses and the morally bankrupt testimony of the
Harvard, MIT, and Penn university presidents during last week’s House Committee
on Education and the Workforce hearing. It is disappointing and revealing that
128 Democrats chose to vote against condemning antisemitism on college campuses
and the pathetic and abhorrent testimony of the university presidents.”

MAJOR NEWS: Elise Files Judicial Misconduct Complaint Against DC Obama Judge

On Friday, Elise filed a judicial misconduct complaint against DC Obama Judge
Beryl Howell for her partisan speech and illegal election meddling. Elise filed
the complaint with the Judicial Council of the District of Columbia Circuit.
Elise stated –

"DC Obama Judge Beryl Howell gave a highly inappropriate speech in which she
insinuated the election of President Trump will lead to fascism in America. She
also inappropriately allowed a public display of her cozy personal
relationships with her partisan friends who appear before her, including the
Biden Deputy Attorney General who supervises the January 6 criminal
prosecutions. I filed a judicial misconduct complaint against Judge Howell,
because election interference by judges destroys public confidence in the
federal judiciary, tears apart the fabric of our Republic, and is illegal. It
must end now."

BREAKING: Impeachment Inquiry into Joe Biden Officially Open

In case you missed it – on Wednesday, House Republicans unified to formally
open an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. Elise joined Speaker Mike
Johnson, Majority Leader Steve Scalise, and Whip Tom Emmer in stating –

“Today, the House took a critical step in our investigation into serious
matters involving President Joe Biden by formally opening an impeachment
inquiry. As President Biden continues to stonewall lawful Congressional
subpoenas, today’s vote of the full House of Representatives authorizing the
inquiry puts us in the strongest position to enforce these subpoenas in court.

We do not take this responsibility lightly and will not prejudge the
investigation’s outcome. But the evidentiary record is impossible to ignore.

We have seen witness testimony and bank records showing millions of dollars
flowing to the Biden family from foreign adversaries. Witnesses have testified
about the President’s numerous interactions with his family’s foreign clients.
The President and White House have repeatedly misled the public, shifted the
goalposts, and stonewalled our investigation.

As Chairmen Comer, Jordan and Smith have done all along, we will continue to
follow the facts where they lead. The American people deserve answers. This
impeachment inquiry will help us find them.”

NY REDISTRICTING UPDATE: Elise and NYGOP Chairman Ed Cox – “The people of New
York deserve better than this”

On Tuesday, a top court in New York ordered the state to redraw its
congressional maps, giving corrupt Democrats the opportunity to further
gerrymander the lines. Read Elise and Chairman Ed Cox’s statement –

“The Court’s decision today is plainly wrong on the Constitution and the law.
In their relentless pursuit of power at all costs, corrupt Democrats in Albany
and Washington have politicized the Court of Appeals. Its once esteemed
reputation is in tatters.

This outcome was preordained by Democrats' unjustified opposition to Justice
Hector LaSalle and the suspicious recusal of Judge Caitlin Halligan.

The decision today opens the door for Democrats to rig our Congressional
district lines so that elections are decided not by the voters, but by
politicians in a back room.

New York Republicans will not give up the fight against gerrymandering and
for free and fair elections. The people of New York deserve better than this.”

PASSED: Elise Votes to Pass Critical National Defense Bill

On Thursday, Elise announced big wins for NY-21, following the passing of the
National Defense Authorization Act. Elise played a major role in the crafting
and passing of this important bill that provides funding for Upstate New York
and the North Country. This bill includes –

* Largest servicemember pay raise in 20 years.
* Parents’ Bill of Rights for military families.
* Strengthens military readiness.
* Counters Communist China espionage

On the passage of this bill, Elise stated –

“As the leading advocate for Fort Drum and the 10th Mountain Division, I
proudly voted to pass the FY24 national defense bill to secure numerous
provisions for the Fort Drum Community and our brave Servicemembers nationwide.
This year’s national defense bill increases our military readiness, equips our
troops, pushes back against woke ideology in our military, and provides robust
support for Servicemembers and their families. As a senior member of the House
Armed Services Committee, I have diligently worked over the past year to bring
the defense priorities of Upstate New York and the North Country to the highest
levels. I am proud to have crafted, conferenced, and passed a defense bill that
ensures Fort Drum soldiers are eligible for Cold Weather location assignment
pay, fully equips the 10th MTN Division with cutting-edge technology, and
recognizes the vast potential of the unique Upstate New York environment for
training our military personnel. While our country faces numerous threats from
Communist China, Russia, and Iran, we must bolster our national defense and
support our Servicemembers because peace can only be achieved through strength.”

Elise and Senator Marco Rubio Introduce Bill Enhancing Transparency on U.S.
Investments

On Tuesday, Elise and Senator Rubio introduced the American Investment
Accountability Act, a bill aimed at enhancing transparency regarding U.S.
investments and their impact on our adversaries' capabilities.

“I am proud to introduce the American Investment Accountability Act to ensure
that there is accurate and timely information on the true scope and nature of
American investments into Communist China and other adversarial countries. The
current reports done by the Biden Administration’s Commerce and Treasury
Departments are insufficient and leave Americans vulnerable. We must have
greater visibility into how U.S. investment is strengthening the capabilities
of our adversaries.”
