Aly and I met back in law school, when I was studying to become a civil rights attorney. I was immediately impressed by her intelligence, and I soon learned she was just as passionate as I am about issues like social justice, reproductive freedom, and voting rights.

She's been incredibly supportive of my work in Congress and my race against Ted Cruz, despite the challenges it creates for our family, because she believes in making Texas the best place it can be for our kids and the next generation.
