Hi,

Since Donald Trump tapped mega-donor Louis DeJoy to run the U.S. Postal
Service, delivery has slowed, prices have spiked, and postal workers have
repeatedly gotten shafted with low pay, increased hours, and more.^1

Now, just as the Postal Service embarks on its busiest season of the year,
new data shows that mail delays are worse than in 2021, when we were still
in the middle of a global pandemic.^2

The report comes on top of DeJoy’s baffling decision to cut seasonal
workers this year by two-thirds, and only makes it more likely that the
holidays are going to be a total fiasco.^3

We've already mobilized more than 100,000 people to contact Congress and
the Biden administration to fire DeJoy ASAP. With the latest news that the
mail is getting slower when we need it most, we need to dial up the
pressure.

The postal service isn’t only important during the holiday season. We all
need it year-round for prescription drugs, Social Security checks, and yes
— staying connected to our friends, family and loved ones. It’s especially
crucial for rural and Indigenous communities, which for-profit companies
won’t serve.^4

But DeJoy is a former logistics company CEO who earned his post by
donating over $1 million to Republicans since 2016 — not by demonstrating
a commitment to public service.^5

That’s why his 10-year plan for the post office is such a nightmare —
closing post offices and sorting centers, hiking fees above the rate of
inflation, and forcing some neighborhoods to go weeks without mail
delivery.^6,7,8

We’ve mobilized over 100,000 people to demand that President Biden get rid
of DeJoy by nominating two new USPS governors who will vote to fire DeJoy.
With the holiday crunch about to prove how DeJoy is ruining this vital
public service, now is the time to turn up the heat.
