The Mākua Military Reservation has over 40 endangered and threatened species and many sacred sites. After decades of advocacy, the Secretary of Defense and Secretary of the Army declared that the Army will never bring back its destructive live-fire training there.Read more: [link removed]

How oil and gas exports are undermining climate progress

The U.S. is now the largest exporter of methane gas in the world, and the fossil fuel industry is rapidly building new export infrastructure in the same communities that are already bearing the brunt of fossil fuel pollution. Read more: [link removed]

What’s the state of smog pollution where you live?

Smog — also known as ground-level ozone — can trigger asthma attacks and increase the risk of heart and lung diseases. Many areas lack air monitors. Rigorous monitoring is critical for protecting public health.

We need to stop this proposed methane gas export project

If approved, the Calcasieu Pass 2 (CP2) facility could pollute up to 20 times the annual carbon emissions of the Willow drilling project in Alaska — equivalent to emissions from more than 42 million gas-powered cars or more than 50 coal-fired power plants. We have an opportunity to tell the federal government to put people over polluters and reject the CP2 project.
