I want to tell you a story about why I don’t use the phrase “Hispanic
American.”



You see, it’s kind of a deal I made with my uncle.



He told me all about how my grandfather, who immigrated from Mexico, earned
our citizenship by fighting for America against the Nazis in World War II.



My uncle explained to me that from that moment on, we were Americans first,
and people of Hispanic descent later.

That’s why I call myself a proud American of Hispanic descent.



You see, in America, it doesn’t matter where you come from, what your skin
color is, or what ethnicity you are.



The one thing that unites all of us, whether we were born here or legally
immigrated here, is that we are Americans.

Now, criminals, traffickers, cartel members, even TERRORISTS are coming into
our country through Joe Biden’s open Southern Border.



These cartels don’t want to work to earn their citizenship like my grandfather
did; they want to push fentanyl into our communities and commit acts of
violence against the American People.



It’s a slap in the face to every legal immigrant who came here the right way.



I’m very proud of my Mexican heritage, but I’m even prouder to be an American
because that honor was won with the blood, courage, and sacrifice of my family.



My Grandfather earned his citizenship with two Purple Hearts. I followed in
his footsteps and joined the Army to honor him and our nation.



I’m running for Congress because it’s time to SECURE our border, and I won’t
rest until America is safe again.
