We wanted to tell you why we are a part of Team Spanberger in honor of Women's History Month.

In these uncertain times, we need principled and steady leadership. That's why we are proud to work for such a strong, smart, and accomplished woman. Abigail is passionate about the issues that matter most to Virginians and never backs down from a challenge.

As a federal law enforcement agent and a CIA officer, Abigail worked in male-dominated fields and committed herself to uplifting women. She dedicated her life to service and did everything she could to defend our national security and protect our democracy. She showed her three young daughters that they could achieve anything they set their minds to, even before she was elected to public office.

In 2018, Abigail won a toss-up election in a district that Republicans held for decades. She made history as the first woman to ever represent Virginia’s 7th district in a year when more women were elected to Congress than ever before.

From day one, Abigail has been dedicated to standing up for women. She helped introduce bipartisan legislation that would ensure equal pay for equal work, she voted for legislation to prevent violence against women, children, and families, and she has fought time and time again to ensure gender equality under the law.

As three women on her team, we are thankful to work for a champion like Abigail. She is an exemplary role model for the next generation of girls and women and makes us proud to work for her every day.
