Katie could be on the ballot four times next year. 😱
The ballot in March will be different than in previous years because
voters will see two “elections” for U.S. Senator: the regular term that
runs January 2025 through 2031, and a separate election to vote for
someone to serve out the remainder of Senator Feinstein’s term, from
November 2024 through January 2025.
This could cause confusion for voters, and primary elections typically
have lower voter turnout than general elections. So, it’s crucial we have
the resources to reach the voters who will decide the outcome of March’s
primary election (and make sure they know they have to vote TWICE!).
And with about ⅓ of voters still undecided, whether or not we progress
through the primary election could be determined by how many voters we
reach in these next 80 days.
