Donald Trump has told us as clearly as possible what he will do if he regains the White House.

He’s said he’ll be a “dictator” on Day One. He has suggested the “termination” of the Constitution. He has promised to investigate independent news outlets for “treason.” He’s sworn to restore and expand his Muslim ban and to undertake “the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.”

None of this is speculation. This is what Trump himself is openly, proudly proclaiming.

Yet the corporate media still refuses to take Trump’s threats seriously. In fact, they’re playing right into his hands by “balancing” every story about Trump's fascism with a negative story about Joe Biden’s age or poll numbers, as if these are equal issues.

If the corporate media won’t sound the alarm about Trump’s fascism, we will. Every time Trump speaks, he makes clear that he believes his authority in a second term would be absolute.

His team has already laid out their plan to purge more than 50,000 civil servants and replace them with pre-vetted loyalists across the government. He will pardon himself and shut down any ongoing criminal investigations. He will direct the Justice Department to take retribution on political opponents.

And to state clearly what should be perfectly obvious, there's no such thing as a dictator for “one day.”

Yet the corporate media is still treating Trump as if he’s just another politician — as opposed to an aspiring dictator who has shown himself to be willing to end democracy. That’s why it's up to us to warn the American people.
