We are in a unique moment for the Pro-Life movement, and to be honest, I’m very concerned.
The truth is that illegal abortions and euthanasia are still grave threats to Life in Texas today.
A recent estimate shows that over 19,000 women in Texas requested abortion pills online in the last year.
Yet, there is a myth out there… a myth that the fight to save preborn babies is over, that we can move on to other issues. This is wrong.
Think of what the Apostle Paul told Timothy in the Bible...
In 2 Timothy chapter 4, Paul warns that people will turn away from the truth and wander off into myths.
Then he says, “As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”

John, this is a message for us today.
Of course, the immediate meaning of this passage is to proclaim Christ, to evangelize a lost world with the Gospel of Jesus.
However, I’ve been reflecting on this passage because we see Pro-Life work itself as a ministry that God has called us to.
Texas Right to Life is a Christian organization, and I think about what this passage means for us:

>> We must be sober-minded - not determining how Pro-Life we are based on what others will think
>> We must endure suffering - not being worried about getting canceled or rejected
>> And we, too, have a ministry to fulfill…
|
|
|
Texas Right to Life had a specific role in the last 50 years to take down Roe. But that doesn't mean our ministry is fulfilled.
We are uniquely positioned to go on the offense, which they can’t do in other states right now.

|
|
Here are three life-saving efforts we can expand but only with your help:
|
|
|
✅ Awarding scholarships to Pro-Life college leaders;
|
|
|
|
✅ Securing state funding for adoption agencies and pregnancy centers; and
|
|
|
|
✅ Suing pro-abortion groups, websites, and local governments that aid and abet illegal abortions.
|
|
|
That is the ministry I need your help to fulfill.
And since you are reading this, I believe the Lord is calling you to partner with us.
