Give today to triple your impact! [link removed]

As the climate changes, John, we’re seeing worsening conditions for species all over the planet.

The Arctic is warming four times faster than the rest of the world, threatening the habitat of polar bears and others that depend on the sea ice. In places like the Amazon rainforest, vital mangrove ecosystems, which help store carbon, are being destroyed. And warming ocean waters are bleaching coral reefs around the world.

But we have the power to protect threatened wildlife, conserve precious natural resources and create a safer future for all, thanks to the support of passionate and generous people who donate to EDF.

Through December 31, two long-time EDF donors will match every $1 you give with $2 more. Will you chip in $10 today and triple your impact to help people and nature thrive together?

More than 5,500 members like you have already had their gifts matched, contributing over $848,000 to put us about 85% of the way to our December 23 milestone goal of $1 million. This support helps us protect vulnerable wildlife and valuable ecosystems by:

* Slashing climate pollution and reducing warming to save polar bears and Arctic sea ice. By taking urgent action to fight climate change, EDF is working to protect the Arctic, polar bears and other animals that need sea ice to survive.
* Empowering fishers around the world to build a more resilient future for our oceans, coral reefs and marine life. EDF is also working with partners to advance science to understand the ocean carbon cycle and develop ways to protect the world’s oceans and coastal ecosystems that store carbon.
* Ensuring carbon credits protect and restore tropical forests and valuable biodiversity by working with partner groups and Indigenous Peoples’ organizations. EDF spearheaded the creation of LEAF (Lowering Emissions by Accelerating Forest finance) to save large-scale tropical forests and end tropical forest loss by 2030.
* Advancing science-based solutions to support wildlife and a healthy planet by working with farmers and food producers to reduce methane pollution, make food production more sustainable, strengthen soil health, and conserve water and land.

It’s supporters like you, John, that fuel our work with communities and partners worldwide to advance game-changing solutions that strengthen the ability of people and nature to thrive.

The Earth and all its creatures need our help, and we're counting on your support to continue this critical work. Will you step up your support by chipping in $10 to create a vital Earth for everyone?

Thank you for supporting the Earth — our only home,
