Hey there,
Once in a while, it’s important to zoom out from the day-to-day chaos and absurdity in Washington to remember what’s really at stake in November.
That’s why I’ve jotted down five good reasons to chip in $5 today.
But if you’re in a rush and want to pitch in a small-dollar, grassroots contribution before I get on my soapbox, you can chip in by clicking here. >>
- The GOP’s embarrassing mess of a presidential contest will likely end with Trump at the top of the ticket. We should be preparing for record-shattering Republican turnout across the country. Now is the time to invest in voter outreach, build a winning coalition of Democrats and swing voters, and get folks to the polls on Election Day.
- House Republicans are breaking fundraising records – last month, they raised $9 million. The GOP already has enough ill-gotten advantages, from gerrymandered districts to coordinated disinformation – we need to make sure they don’t get the financial edge, too.
- The future of abortion rights depends on the outcome of this election: Republicans say they will criminalize abortion rights the moment they have the votes. We need to believe them – and take the drastic action necessary to stop them.
- The House GOP is now led by Mike Johnson, a right-wing fundamentalist who opposes the separation of church and state and rejects science outright. It’s yet one more reason to flip the House and remove MAGA extremists from power.
- Republicans will always be able to count on the deep pockets of their shadowy, right-wing donors. But I’ll take the support of thousands of small-dollar grassroots donors over one mega-rich puppeteer pulling all my strings any day.
Long story short, your $5 has an impact far beyond this campaign. For all these reasons and more, can I count on you to pitch in?
Thank you for your support,
Sean Casten
