Team,
I was first introduced to United We Dream Action’s work when I was trying to understand my rights as a DACA recipient. I didn’t know what I could and couldn’t do with my DACA status, and during my research I found the UWD website.
As a DACA recipient, I’ve seen firsthand how much organizations like United We Dream Action can make a difference in the lives of immigrants like me. It was organizations like UWDA that fought for and won DACA protections in the first place, which allowed me to work and live in the United States without the threat of deportation looming overhead.
I decided to get involved in this community to empower other immigrants like me who don’t always know where to turn. I’ve always said: If I don’t do it, then who will?
I see the same energy in United We Dream. I see members volunteering and expecting nothing in return. I see leaders organizing their communities to advocate for change. I see our organization coming together to plan big actions that support the immigrant rights movement.
United We Dream Action’s work would not be possible without the help from supporters like you. We all have a role to play in the movement, and grassroots supporters like you, chipping in $10 or $25 at a time, play one of the most essential parts. Will you pitch in today?
Please use the links in this email to start a monthly donation through ActBlue.
I am proud to be a member of United We Dream Action, and I hope you’ll consider supporting our work with a donation of any amount today.
Thanks for listening,
Martha, United We Dream Action
