A judge has denied attempts to block the planned release of wolves in Colorado, and the state-led wolf reintroduction program will continue to move forward despite last-minute, flimsy attempts to sabotage this historic effort.

Multiple anti-wolf groups filed cases to block wolf restoration and requested a temporary restraining order to stop recovery efforts already underway.

Defenders was the first NGO to oppose these lawsuits and our lawyers were litigating on behalf of wolves up to the last minute to stop this brazen attack.
