The team at VoteVets emailed yesterday to let you know that we’re going up on television across the country with a television ad.

The objective here is to continue pressing Republicans in Congress and the Senate until they pass aid for Ukraine. The stakes are extremely high. The situation in Ukraine will become very dire if aid doesn’t start flowing back.

But there’s another element to what’s going on in Congress. The GOP is trying to force draconian immigration measures as their “compromise” on doing the right thing for Ukraine. Unacceptable!

I’m an immigrant. My family escaped communism. My father brought us to the United States seeking a better life. Much the same story for most of our ancestors coming to America.

And doing the right thing to support Ukraine in their fight to defend democracy against a murderous dictator must not come at the expense of compromising the American dream; ending the hopes of migrants seeking freedom and security in the United States.

So please, take a look at this ad. And if you can, make a donation to help us keep it on the air.
