Here at Slotkin HQ we receive some really lovely notes from small-dollar donors sharing why they're a part of this campaign. These notes often come from the heart and highlight some of the personal reasons donors choose to support Elissa – and sometimes come with very compelling personal stories about their connection to our campaign.

Today, we wanted to share a couple of those notes with you:

Note one: I am a former employee of your father. As an immigrant from former Yugoslavia, now known as Serbia, I made my first dollar in the United States working for your father. I have worked all my life and can look back on working for your dad with gratitude. I am truly grateful for this experience. I wish you nothing but the best on your campaign, and I look forward to seeing you as Senator.

Note two: Seems to me, Ms. Slotkin, your entire life has prepared you for this moment. Great good luck! When US Senators are sworn in January 2025, I will smile broadly to see you raise your right hand.

How nice is that? Notes like this, with such personal stories to why they’re giving, mean the world to us on Team Slotkin, and to Elissa especially. They snap us out of our daily tasks and remind us that this work is about fighting for real people, with real stories and real hopes for the future.

Everyone has their own reason for supporting Elissa's campaign for Senate in Michigan and it's important that all of us come together to defend this seat for Democrats.

Elissa has won three tough campaigns for Congress in Michigan, and one of the key reasons for her success in those races is because she connects with real people and gives them hope. We hope we can say the same for you.

With an FEC deadline coming up at the end of this month, there has never been a more important time to chip in to show you stand with Elissa.

Together we are going to defend Michigan's Senate seat and protect the Democratic majority.
