Growing up as an only child, my commitment to organizing and movement
building has always been linked to my love of the chosen family that you
build along the way, working with people aligned with one common purpose.
When I became a member of Congress, I had no idea just how big that chosen
family would grow, and how the lived experiences and stories of that
movement family — the A-Team — would move me to my core.

The caregiver whose compassion reminds me of the love I poured into my
mother throughout her leukemia battle. Whose selflessness served as a
poignant reminder of the power of empathy.

The 17 year-old, who like me, also lives with alopecia. Cam was diagnosed
at 13 years old and has overcome a great deal since then. His kindness
reminds me that we are never defined by what we are going through. And I
found solace in the experiences we shared together.

The people I organized with in 2022, who campaigned to elect an all-female
ticket in Massachusetts: Governor Maura Healey, Lieutenant Governor Kim
Driscoll, and Attorney General Andrea Campbell. The organizers and
volunteers who selflessly gave their time to knock on doors and get out
the victory remind me of the power of us. They remind me that it always
seems impossible until it's done.

My biggest takeaway from everyone I’ve met along the way is that our
movement is stronger than ever. From fair pay to healthcare access to
abortion justice, student debt cancellation, racial justice, and more,
people are ready to take on the tough, intersectional fight for progress.
Because we know we are one human family, and our freedoms and destinies
are tied.

And that’s what keeps me fighting every day in Congress — and why I’ll
never stop fighting for you.

I’m so
grateful for the impact that the A-Team has made this year. But our fight
to make sure all of us can not only survive, but thrive, isn't over. So
I’m still fighting for policies that support caregivers, affordable
housing investments so high-quality, stable housing can be both accessible
and attainable, and to reverse the legacy of harmful policies that got us
here in the first place.

[ [link removed] ]I’ll keep fighting to build on our wins and deliver more progress for
our communities. So if you're able, can you make a contribution of
$25, or
whatever amount makes sense for you, to help make sure I can keep fighting
for working-class families in Congress?
