In an op-ed, the former Governor of Arizona, Bruce Babbitt, voiced his support for Katie’s efforts to update the groundwater management laws he initially passed 40 years ago. He and Katie both are urging lawmakers to work together to secure Arizona’s water future.
University of Arizona College of Medicine: Women in Medicine and Science Welcome Governor Katie Hobbs to Their Annual Networking Event
At an event dedicated to celebrating women in medicine and science, Katie encouraged attendees to uplift each other and strive for success: “We need to do more to bring women into leadership positions — intentional mentorship, giving women a seat at the table, encouraging them to be active participants in the overall operations of a team, taking their opinions seriously… and recognizing and uplifting their accomplishments and contributions.”

KJZZ: More Arizona children could qualify for AHCCCS health coverage next year
Earlier this year, Katie fought to expand Arizona’s Medicaid program. Now, an estimated 10,000 or more children could qualify under the newly updated KidsCare program thanks to her efforts.
