Families in my hometown of Uvalde have been fighting for children's safety in Texas since the devastating day we heard the news of the school shooting at Robb Elementary.

Earlier this year, they fought for new measures to protect our children including:

Red flag laws

Community violence intervention measures

Background check requirements

Raising the minimum age to own a firearm
