Dear John,
This week, Governor Holcomb spoke to Hoosier Boy Scouts at the 28th Annual Governor’s Luncheon for Scouting, hosted by the Crossroads of America Council at the Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis.
Governor Holcomb has always been an avid supporter of scouting programs, in part because he knows how well they foster innovation, collaboration, and leadership in young Hoosiers.
He imparted the scouts with some wisdom about leadership, saying "...leaders are not just born that way. Instead, it happens through a lifetime of inspiration, growth, and practice, and practice, and practice." Click here to listen to the full speech.
The governor's unwavering commitment to the scouts was evident as he marked his 7th appearance at the Luncheon for Scouting. A gathering of 120 attendees showcased the overwhelming support and dedication to raising money for Indiana's scouting programs, resulting in nearly $17,000 raised.
