The Culture War

The progressive left is at war with every normal and decent impulse in our country.  And it’s non-stop.

They’ve undermined love of country by rewriting our history (see below) and turning our schools and universities into radical indoctrination centers.  As a result, patriotism among our youth is at rock bottom.

They banned school prayer, and they would ban the Pledge of Allegiance if they could get away with it.  They rallied around Colin Kaepernick, whose protests were nothing more than raw disrespect for every veteran.

They are at war with Judeo-Christian traditions.  They would never do anything (nor should they) to mock Muslims or other faiths. But there are annual controversies surrounding Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas because, rather than being respectful, they opt to spit in the faces of Christians.

Well, here’s the latest.  After dissing God in his Thanksgiving proclamation, the Biden White House is dissing most of America with its Christmas video.

They brought in a dance troupe from New York City, which performed a bizarre interpretation of the famous Nutcracker ballet through the halls and historic rooms of the White House.

But this wasn’t just your typical group of edgy “artists.”  The Dorrance Dance group is indistinguishable from a far-left fringe BLM group.  Their website promotes the anti-white bigotry of Ibram X. Kendi, along with calls for slavery reparations and demands to defund the police.

Sure, they have a Christmas tree or two at the White House.  But the message they’re sending out on social media to those who don’t think of themselves as Americans and Christians is very different.

And don’t miss this link – they want more of those people, and less of us, because they are all in on the left’s agenda.  We, in contrast, as Obama infamously said, keep clinging to our guns and Bibles.

Biden’s Open Border

An incident at the southern border this week should be making national news, but it’s being swept under the rug.  Here’s the bottom line:  Ten improvised explosive devices with shrapnel in them were discovered at the Arizona southern border.

These are devices similar to those that killed or maimed thousands of U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.  They are now coming into the United States.

This is why congressional Republicans must continue to insist on serious border security measures.

By the way, the Biden Administration knows that walls work.  But they are ideologically committed to open borders no matter the cost, whether it’s sacrificing our national sovereignty or the lives of our citizens to crime and deadly drugs.

Exposing Anti-Semitism

Sadly, a Chanukah celebration this week at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., was marred by a disgusting display of anti-Semitism.

As guests were leaving the event, a car drove up.  A man was waving a Palestinian flag out of the sunroof.  The people in the car started shouting, “We will kill you all, occupiers!”

After Donald Trump was elected in 2016, deranged leftists frequently attacked people wearing MAGA hats.  Some progressives claimed they were afraid of the American flag

But now jihadist Palestinian sympathizers are threatening to kill Jews in the streets of our nation’s capital, and it’s barely a blip on the media’s radar.

Where does this hate come from?  Well, there are multiple sources, but the extremism in far too many American mosques is a big problem.

By the way, Harvard President Claudine Gay, hoping to save her hide, attended a campus menorah lighting this week.  Harvard Chabad Rabbi Hirschy Zarchi noted that there’s been a lot of damage control going on lately.  And while Harvard allowed the nightly menorah lighting, it would not allow the menorah to remain outside overnight.

Why not?  Because it would likely be destroyed by rabid anti-Semites on Harvard’s campus, and that just wouldn’t be good for President Gay’s already sullied reputation.

Rabbi Zarchi also called out dozens of Harvard chaplains who stayed silent during the anti-Semitic protests on Harvard’s campus.  Good for him!

About Those Books. . .

An openly homosexual school board member in Fairfax County, Virginia, was just sworn into office on a stack of sexually explicit books that many leftists insist are being banned.

I’ve seen this done before, so I assume this is some new progressive trend.  The left loves theatrics, so here we go.

Well, there’s a public policy point that must be made here.  None of the books were ever banned!  Just another lie of the left.

Any adult, in any city, can get these books anytime they want.  Any misguided adult can give the books to their kids for Christmas if they want.

The only issue regarding these books is that concerned parents and taxpayers have said there is no reason why anyone other than parents should be sharing these sexually graphic books with children in our public schools and libraries.

In fact, the author of one of these graphic books agrees and says it’s not meant for kids

So, why in the heck are leftist bureaucrats and politicians trying to force these books on our children?!

The left and their media allies are well on their way to establishing “book banning” as a major issue in 2024.  Their narrative is that Republicans want to control what you read and Democrats are protecting your freedom.  If that’s the issue, we will lose.

So, Republicans at every level must spend political capital on this before it becomes a losing issue for them.

By the way, that goes for pastors, too.  Pastors should spend some time on Sundays discussing this.  Ironically, if a school board candidate was sworn in on the Bible and then gave it to their child to take to school, there would be a firestorm of protest.

Yes, the culture war is very real.  And pastors and politicians who refuse to fight it will someday find themselves very much alone in a country they no longer recognize.

The Boston Tea Party

Tomorrow marks the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, one of the signature events of the American Revolution.  That revolution created the greatest nation in the world, the nation that has brought more liberty and opportunity to more people in the history of the world.

There’s a big battle raging in America today regarding when we should teach children about sex.  There’s a big battle over whether our children in public schools and libraries should be exposed to men in dresses.

Many Americans just want to get back to the basics.  That also means teaching a fair history of our nation, beginning with the American Revolution, and that’s not happening.  Sadly, our children are getting anti-American history with nonsense like the 1619 Project.

In fact, one Washington Post columnist described the Boston Tea Party as “an act of terrorism,” in which a “horde of white men disguised themselves . . . coppering their faces and donning headdresses in the same tradition that led to blackface -- to commit seditious conspiracy.”  He went on to describe the men as “common criminals hiding behind racist face paint.”

Here’s a little exercise:  Ask your child or grandchild if they’ve heard of the Boston Tea Party and what they know about it.  Their responses might be very interesting.

If students don’t know about the Boston Tea Party, they probably don’t know about Valley Forge or “Give me liberty or give me death.” They probably don’t know about Concord Bridge or anything that would give them a sense of pride, hope and love for their nation.

Just imagine what would happen if there was a Boston Tea Party today.  Plenty of leftists would be calling the FBI’s 800 terrorist tip line.  The men who did it were dressed like Native Americans. So, at a minimum, they would be accused of “cultural appropriation,” if not a hate crime.

There were no non-profit organizations back in 1773. But they were an organized group called, “The Sons of Liberty.” Well, that’s a huge problem.

Joe Biden’s Pentagon has ordered soldiers to avoid “extremist groups” with “Patriot” in their names.  Many leftists think “Don’t Tread On Me,” an iconic symbol of the American Revolution, is racist.

The Wall Street Journal wouldn’t like the Boston Tea Party because the patriots destroyed private property.  And of course, if there was a Republican Party at the time, its “surrender wing” would have all rushed to make it clear that they didn’t have anything to do with “those extremists.”

Good News
  • A federal judge upheld a Texas law banning the communist Chinese social media app TikTok from government devices.
  • Fed-up parents and taxpayers have launched a ballot initiative to repeal California’s insane child-mutilating transgender law.
  • A Michigan court rejected an attempt to ban Donald Trump from the ballot under the 14th Amendment.
  • The Virginia Supreme Court upheld the First Amendment rights of a teacher who refused to lie by referring to a female student with male pronouns.
  • Elon Musk continues to diversify his enterprises, now branching out into education.  Reports suggest he’s launching a new university focused on science, technology, engineering and math.  Presumably, it will also include his commitment to free speech.
