In a moment, I'm going to tell you how I've managed to lead on climate change while also growing local economies in communities across Washington, but first, I need to ask: if you believe in a brighter, cleaner future for us all, will you contribute $25 right now to my critical December fundraising deadline?

Despite fear-mongering by some politicians, fighting climate change and growing our economy aren’t mutually exclusive – in fact, they go hand-in-hand.

The work I've done as Washington's Commissioner of Public Lands is proof. We’ve restored millions of acres of forests and underwater habitats, boosted new innovations in timber, solar, and wind, and built infrastructure on the ground in every corner of the state. We utilized the state's natural resources to generate funds for school construction, support rural libraries, and aid emergency responders - creating thousands of good-paying jobs along the way.

Now, with the opportunity to serve in Congress, I'm committed to continuing my work creating groundbreaking solutions, taking the policies we’ve pioneered in Washington state to the other Washington. By addressing our housing crisis, curbing rising costs, safeguarding our land and water, and expanding healthcare access, we can pave the way for a brighter future for all.
