Dear neighbor,
I want to invite you to come talk to me and my team this Tuesday, Dec. 19. Here are the full details of the two events:
Location 1 (Eastside Indianapolis): Warren Branch Library (9701 E 21st St.)
Time: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Location 2 (Beech Grove): Silver Linings Coffeehouse (700 Main St.)
Time: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
With the January start of the 2024 legislative session quickly approaching, I believe that it essential to hear from constituents like you about what I should prioritize at the Statehouse.
Engaging in discussion about community issues with my neighbors is paramount to the work I do as your representative. Your feedback and input drive the decisions I make in the legislature. From supporting a bill that brought much-needed road funding to our area, to authoring House Enrolled Act 1365 [ [link removed] ] to get machine gun conversion devices off the street, everything I do in the legislature is in an effort to improve the lives of those who live in House District 89.
Additionally, I know that state government can be hard to navigate sometimes. Stop by one of these locations on Tuesday to pick up information about resources and services that the State of Indiana provides.
I hope to see you there!
Energy Assistance Program
Winter is upon us. While December can be a joyful month of celebrating, it can also bring struggles to keep up with higher electricity bills to keep your house warm and the lights on longer. The Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority (IHCDA) offers the Energy Assistance Program (EAP) for those struggling to afford high energy costs and can help if you are disconnected or about to be. The EAP is a one-time annual benefit paid directly to the utility vendor for applicants that meet certain income requirements. For more details on the program, eligibility and application visit the IHCDA website [ [link removed] ] today.
My 2024 Legislative Survey is live!
Ahead of the legislative session each year, I send out a short survey to give constituents like you the chance to share their views on issues facing our community and our state. I draw on this feedback while making decisions on legislation in the general assembly.
Printed versions are also available and will be sent to you by mail. If you prefer to fill out the survey online, you can do so here [ [link removed] ]. I look forward to reading your responses.
Sincerely,
