Dear neighbor,

As we look forward to the holidays, House Democrats are hard at work to deliver for American families. When Democrats were in control of the House, we passed the Inflation Reduction Act to lower costs and create new jobs; the historic Infrastructure Law to invest in our nation’s roads, bridges, and highways; and the CHIPS and Science Act to bring manufacturing back to the United States. Democrats care about getting our economy moving. As a result, we’ve seen record GDP growth and unemployment at 50-year lows.

Meanwhile, Republicans are focused on restricting reproductive rights and impeaching President Biden with zero evidence. Even as they voted to open a baseless impeachment inquiry this week, they could not explain what crime President Biden has supposedly committed.

The contrast couldn’t be clearer. Democrats’ priorities are lowering costs, creating jobs, and supporting American families. Extreme MAGA Republicans’ one and only priority is political theater. Watch my House Floor speech about this evidence-free impeachment sham below.

MAKING PIRATERS WALK THE PLANK: In this digital age, we have access to an incredible variety of content online. Unfortunately, digital pirates steal artists’ work without credit, robbing those who create this content of the revenue they could earn from viewers. There are simple solutions to this problem that would defend the work of creatives, including having online service providers block websites that offer pirated content to consumers. At this week’s House Judiciary Committee hearing, I raised this issue and asked those who can block pirated content to do so. Watch my full comments here

PHOTO OF THE WEEK: It was an honor to join House Democratic Caucus Chairman Pete Aguilar (D-CA) and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairwoman Suzan DelBene (D-WA) at this week’s House Democratic leadership press conference. This year, we’ve been hard at work defending Americans from MAGA extremism and delivering lower costs and better jobs for working families. I’m looking forward to building on our progress in 2024.
