Dear John,

Young voices in our democracy are more important now than ever. Muslims need to have active roles in policy and decision-making and that starts with our young leaders. That's why I'm reaching out to share the transformative impact of MPAC's Congressional Leadership Development Program (CLDP) and to ask for your support.

CLDP is a 10-week summer fellowship in Washington D.C. designed to empower students on the frontlines to become the next generation of leaders. This program is vital in providing young American Muslims with unparalleled opportunities on Capitol Hill, offering placements and leadership development at zero cost to the fellows. With provided housing and a stipend, we ensure accessibility to this life-changing opportunity for all participants.

Support Our CLDP Program
Our program is instrumental in granting our youth exposure and experience in the political process, essential for fostering their growth as future leaders. The CLDP curriculum includes Professional Development, Workshops, and Networking Opportunities, all geared toward honing their skills and capabilities.

I'm proud to share some of our recent accomplishments:
  • Increased diversity in our racial demographics by 50% compared to the previous year
  • Extended outreach to students in new parts of the U.S.
  • Facilitated 6 Senate placements, 5 House placements, and 6 Federal Agency placements

Now, let's talk about the impact on our 2023 fellows:
  • 60% of our fellows are continuing their undergraduate careers
  • 20% pursued or are continuing their graduate careers, including Masters and Law degrees
  • 15% received additional roles in public service, a testament to the program's efficacy

Our next generation of policymakers, educators, and lawyers hold the key to a better future. As we navigate challenging times, witnessing a genocide unfold in Palestine and our students facing threats and silencing, it's crucial to support initiatives that give them a voice and a seat at the table.

Support Our Future Leaders
Our youth represent the future of the American Muslim community, and investing in their development is integral to their success across all facets of life. Don't just take my word for it — listen to one of our fellows:

“No other program offers the level of development and opportunities that CLDP provides. CLDP embraces diversity and fosters an environment that celebrates and empowers unique identities. It equipped me with the skills, knowledge, and a vast network to contribute positively to my communities and make a lasting impact on Capitol Hill and beyond.”

This year-end campaign has come at a critical time in our struggle for Palestine and against Islamophobia. Can you help us reach our $100,000 goal before 2024? By contributing to our cause, you are not only supporting the development of future leaders; you are helping pave the way for a future where justice and freedom of expression thrive.
In service and solidarity,
