What the fuck is even happening this week, John?

This week has been wild, and not in a good way.

[ [link removed] ]Can you make a contribution to fuel the fight for reproductive rights
today? The amount isn't as important as the donations we receive because
they will all add up!

Texas Trash Fire

Texas takes the top spot for abortion-related fuckery. This week in Texas,
corrupt AG Ken Paxton forced Kate Cox, a Dallas-based woman, to flee the
state to receive life-saving abortion care. Over 50 companies filed an
amicus brief in support of 22 women suing the state over the abortion
ban.

Texas’s abortion ban is not only costing lives, it is costing nearly $15
billion in lost revenue per year. Finally, the Amarillo City Council met
to consider the unconstitutional travel ban ordinance, despite heavy
opposition from Amarillo residents. Texas continues to demonstrate that
there are no depths to which it won’t sink to advance its disastrous
abortion ban.

up for reelection in 2024. Help us get ready to vote these extremists OUT!

Ohio: Criminalizing Miscarriages

In October, an Ohio woman was charged with a felony after having a
miscarriage. This case, like others across the country, highlights the
larger trend of increases in misusing the law to criminalize pregnant
people. Since Roe v. Wade became law in 1973, about 2000 people have faced
unwarranted criminal charges related to their pregnancies, covering cases
of miscarriages or stillbirths in nearly all U.S. states.

[ [link removed] ]After achieving a significant victory in protecting abortion rights in
the state constitution, Ohio abortion providers are now taking on the
state's six-week ban. Your support is crucial—can you donate $15 to help
us continue making progress in Ohio?

SCOTUS: Back on its Bullshit

The Supreme Court will decide whether to ban Mifepristone in the first
abortion-related case for the high court since the compromised court
gutted Roe v. Wade last year. The argument for the case is scheduled for
spring, and a decision is anticipated by late June, amid the 2024
presidential and congressional campaigns.

[ [link removed] ]The fight for abortion will drive voter turnout in 2024, just as it has
in 2023 and 2022. Can you rush a donation today to help us prepare for the
most important election of our lifetimes?

That was a lot, and that was just this week! We are hard at work getting
ready to kick off 2024 with a bang – keep your eyes open for more news on
that front soon! 👟👟
