We?re continuing to support financially-vulnerable families this Christmas with free activity sessions for youngsters.
We?ve teamed up with the Nottingham Forest and Trent Bridge community trusts to deliver a host of activities across the holidays for pupils who receive free school meals. As well as the fun sessions, the children will also receive a nutritious meal. Funding comes through the Government?s Holiday Activity Scheme, which the council successfully bid for again this year.
You can read more here, including contact details for finding out where the clubs are taking place and how to book.

We've welcomed three new families to the city?s fostering community this week.?
They ?started the assessment process earlier this year, culminating in being approved by the council?s Fostering Panel. Providing for looked-after children is one of the council?s statutory duties and we need more foster carers so that we can get the best outcomes for young people. Using our own foster carers also means we don?t have to pay the extra costs of private-sector provision.
You can find out here how you could give a vulnerable child a happy Christmas next year by becoming a foster carer for the city.?

It?s only ten days to go to the big day but there?s still time to get yourself down to Woodthorpe Park Plant Shop to choose a beautiful tree available from their stock of Nordmann and Fraser Firs.
There?s a Christmas market with festive music, food and stalls selling homemade goods and gift ideas, along with wreath-making, face painting and lots of fun to be had.
There?s lots happening elsewhere in the city too. Find out more via the links below: ?
