Monday

Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (OR-05) celebrated passage of legislation she authored to improve transparency in health care, which will help lower costs for patients and bring more accountability to the health insurance industry.


The bipartisan Health Data Access, Transparency, and Affordability (DATA) Act will "streamline employers’ ability to compare plans and provide workers with high-quality, more affordable health benefits."

Tuesday

Reps. Michelle Steel (CA-45) and Virginia Foxx (NC-05) penned an op-ed about legislation Steel authored, which passed the House last week, to deter foreign influence, including from countries hostile to Israel, in higher education: "The support on college campuses of Hamas’ evil attacks on Israeli civilians should be a wake-up call for every American. There is no time to waste. We must put a stop to any and all malign foreign influence in our colleges and universities so our adversaries don’t destroy our democracy."

Wednesday

The Hudson Institute hosted an important conversation with Sens. Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Reps. Beth Van Duyne (TX-24) and Julia Letlow (LA-05)Senior Fellow Rebeccah L. Thursday

Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) introduced a bipartisan resolution to condemn Hamas's use of sexual violence. According to The Hill, "The resolution, signed by more than 20 senators, states that Israeli police have gathered more than 1,500 testimonies of men and women who were victims of sexual assault, witnessed such actions or have been medically documented."
