Dear John, The fight against gun violence is far from over. Our work relies on the generosity and dedication of individuals like you. Your donation today will empower us to sustain and expand our efforts in 2024, ensuring a safer future for all North Carolinians. |
Supporters like you are the driving force behind our success. As we approach the end of 2023, we wanted to share how your support has made an impact to prevent gun violence through our work and across the state.
North Carolina established a Statewide Office of Violence Prevention, the first of its kind in the South. The new office will foster a comprehensive government and public health approach to reducing violence, addressing the root causes of gun violence.
Withdrawal of Concealed Carry Permit Repeal legislation, maintaining stronger protections for our communities. Your advocacy and engagement led to the withdrawal of legislation that would have eliminated the requirement of concealed carry permits for handgun owners.
Supported funding for Community Violence Intervention (CVI) programs across the state. These critical programs address the multifaceted issues contributing to gun violence, including trauma, substance abuse, education, and employment.
These victories reinforce the importance of our collective efforts in shaping responsible gun policies. But to continue making strides in preventing gun-related deaths, we urgently need your support.

Together, we can make a lasting impact on our communities. We can’t do this without you!
Sincerely, North Carolinians Against Gun Violence
