Marie Newman and Kim Foxx are two bold, activist leaders who are running
to serve their communities and continue the fight for justice and equity.
On Tuesday, Marie Newman is on the ballot against Dan Lipinski for
Congress in Illinois’ 3rd district. And Kim Foxx is running for
re-election as State’s Attorney of Cook County, Illinois (that’s
Chicago!).
With only days to go before the election, Marie and Kim’s field organizing
programs are both making major adjustments to protect public health in
response to the COVID-19 public health crisis, including canceling in
person organizing events. But they still need to execute their Get Out the
Vote programs in order to win on Tuesday — that’s where you come in!
Can you spare some time to volunteer with Marie or Kim’s campaigns (or
both!) and talk to voters in Illinois about these transformative
candidates to help Get Out the Vote?

Marie Newman’s opponent, Dan Lipinski, is an incumbent who didn’t even
bother voting on the life-saving Families First Coronavirus Response Act,
which passed the House late last night with bipartisan support. Plus, he’s
anti-choice and voted against Obamacare. We need an ally in Congress who
is committed to fighting for progressive priorities like Medicare for All
and the Green New Deal.
Kim Foxx is facing three challengers in her reelection campaign for
State’s Attorney of Cook County, Illinois. Since she was first elected,
Kim has implemented critical justice reforms like expunging marijuana
convictions and lowering the number of people sentenced to jail or prison
by 20 percent.
Sign up now to help Get Out the Vote in Illinois for Marie Newman and Kim
Foxx. Every single vote matters and your activism will make a difference.
