Morning, folks!

Starting my day with a cup of coffee is an absolute must.

My husband is the same way. And between the two of us, we’ve collected a ton of coffee mugs. Probably way more than we actually need.

But my favorite one, by far, is my mug that says:

If you’re from New Jersey — or you’ve ever visited our state — then you might know what I mean.

We’re straightforward. We’re not going to beat around the bush. Our loudness is sometimes mistaken for rudeness, but really, we just tell you what’s on our mind.

This New Jersey honesty makes it easier for us to talk about the challenges our communities are facing. And as a legislator, it gives me a true perspective for what I can do better to make our state a better and more affordable place to live and raise a family.

So today, I’m going to get right to the point and be brutally honest, team: Republican extremists are attacking our freedoms and subjecting the American people to reckless partisan stunts — and if we don’t hit our fundraising targets, just like the one we’re facing tonight, it’s going to be a whole lot harder to flip the House in 2024.
