Issue Number: N-2024-06Inside This IssueNotice 2024-06 provides safe harbors for a method that can be used to qualify for and calculate the SAF sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) credit, the Renewable Fuel Standard program method. It also discusses other methods, informing the public that the current Greenhouse Gases, Regulated Emissions, and Energy Use in Technologies (GREET) model of the Argonne National Laboratory and existing GREET-based models do not currently meet the applicable requirements to be used for the SAF credit, but federal agencies are working to modify the GREET model so that it does. Notice 2024-06 will be in IRB: 2024-2, dated 01/08/2024.
