Ashley,* a young person who’s been in our Survivor Care for several years, took this photograph below. About her photograph, she shared:

“This photo represents strength for me because before, I didn’t have anything to hold on to, like other people. What I really like in this photo is the group of hands that expresses that there are people who come into our lives to help us to recover from the pain we experienced and felt from the past and to become even stronger.

In my own life, strength means being strong despite one’s ugly experiences. I just wanted everything to be over, but Love146 came along to give me strength.

I want the world to know that no matter how heavy the burden we are experiencing, there will always be somebody who will give us the strength to fight again and to smile.”
