John —
Over the last eight nights as I’ve celebrated Hanukkah with my wife and friends, I’ve been reflecting on my faith and what this holiday means to me.
I’ve thought about the lessons instilled in me by my parents while growing up and the sermons from rabbis over the years. The lessons that my faith taught me about miracles and believing in a brighter future — even when so much seems broken around us — continue to guide me to this day.
These principles have led me to pursue criminal justice reform, to make housing the homeless a key priority, to attack discrimination, to ensure the rule of law is applied equally, and to protect our democracy — a precious miracle that has never been in greater jeopardy.
It is because of my faith that I have not been discouraged when Trump and his band of MAGA allies hurl attacks my way. John, I know that even in the face of these insults, together we can overcome these attacks and continue working toward a brighter future.
John, tomorrow night is our final mid-month fundraising deadline of the year. With that in mind, will you pitch in $18 or any amount to help me get one step closer to making a brighter future our reality?
