Friend, our family has a "no work at the table" rule, so I had to finish dinner before I could check our latest fundraising numbers.

I hate to say it, but December fundraising has been in a winter slump.

Our grassroots donations have slowed to a trickle this month, and I'm starting to get seriously worried about us getting outraised by Ted Cruz's mega donors and special interests who are lining his pockets with MILLIONS so that he can work for them in the Senate.

I'm running for Senate so that our government works for everyday Texans – NOT far-right millionaires. I'm running to defend our right to vote, our kids' right to a good education, and every person's right to build their American dream.

And if everyone who's fed up with Ted Cruz joins me, we'll have the power to finally send him packing.

Friend, our mid-month deadline is coming up tomorrow, and we need to hit our $150,000 fundraising goal if we're going to keep this grassroots campaign running. So, please: Will you pitch in $5 right now to help me keep up with Ted Cruz's millions and reach the undecided voters across Texas that we need to win? →

Thanks for standing with me,
